Jennifer Payne likes to refer to her work as Visual Daily Diaries. She is constantly exploring new ways to express herself through her painting, whether through painterly landscapes, portraits, or her own personal whimsical take on the personalities of animals, especially our feline friends. Her work is meant to instill positive feelings to the viewer and hopefully have them share in the freedom and joy she feels when creating the paintings.
She graduated on the National Deans list with a BFA in Fine Art from Ringling College of Art and Design in 1997. In the summer of 1996, she studied abroad at the Art School of the Aegean in Samos, Greece. Since then and she has won numerous awards in juried competitions nationwide and abroad, including a Master Painter award from the Woman in the Arts, The 21 Under 31 artist to watch in Southwest Magazine, and First Prize in the Beaux Arts Member’s Show. Jennifer is also in a permanent museum collection in Athens, Greece and she won the 2020 Shine landscape award in Milan, Italy. Her work has been represented by galleries in New York, Colorado, New Mexico, Florida, and South Carolina. Her work can currently found at Gallery on First in Sanford and The Artistic Hand Studio and Gallery in Oviedo, FL.
