Kevin “KV” Abbott was born and raised in the mountains of southern Vermont and was influenced at an early age by the many artists who lived in the area.

His first fine art exhibition was in 1977, and he has exhibited photography, paintings, collage, and sculpture ever since. His work has appeared in more than 100 solo and group exhibitions at venues including the Monterey Museum of Art in Monterey, the Southern Vermont Arts Center in Manchester, and the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse.

Abbott’s work has received numerous awards, and he was the recipient of a 2008 Individual Artist’s Grant from the New York State Council on the Arts.

In 2021, Mr. Abbott was honored to receive an invitation from the David Hayes Art Foundation to serve as the first resident artist at the David Hayes Sculpture Fields.

His work is included in numerous private and public collections, including the collection of the City of Syracuse.

Abbott maintains seasonal studios in Sanford and Bernhards Bay.
